This will mark the third edition of the Economia del Mare summit, a live & digital event organized by Il Sole 24 Ore, taking place on July 4-5, 2024, in Genoa. The event will bring together institutions and companies to discuss the current conditions and future prospects of the Italian Blue Economy.

On July 4th, the event will start at the Genoa Aquarium with a session dedicated to Nautical, Tourism, and Education; the following day, the summit will continue on the Costa Smeralda ship, anchored in the port. Scheduled for the evening of July 4th is the panel titled "The Future of the Blue Economy: The Blue Way Hackathon Experience", with speakers Tiziana Perin, Senior EU Project Manager at Polo Tecnologico, and Gloria Bozza, a Medical Biotechnology and Diagnostic student at the University of Trieste, representing the Finding Algae team, winners of the competition for the best innovative idea on maritime themes. The Hackathon case study was co-financed by the European project Reginna 4.0 and the PNRR Consorzio Inest-Interconnected Nordest Ecosystem.
