The press conference presenting the eleventh edition of Tipicità in Blu, the Blue Economy Festival, which will take place in Ancona from May 17th to 24th, was held.

This year's event focuses on the theme "Sea, Laboratory of the Future" and aims to be the reference point for blue growth through a program rich in events, including exhibitions, gastronomic events, and scientific insights in the capital city of the Marche region.

Many projections towards the future are planned; among them, the "The Blue Way" Hackathon was also presented, a two-day full immersion challenge aimed at young people to transform creative ideas on the sea into projects for the progress and well-being of the environment, communities, and individuals.

In preparation for the event, which will take place on May 23rd and 24th, students will receive materials for individual study on the themes of digital and deep tech applications in entrepreneurship in the field of the blue economy.

Registrations will remain open until May 20th, 2024, on the website www.theblueway.it.

The Blue Way Hackathon is organized by the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Università Politecnica delle Marche, Università degli Studi di Trieste, IRBIM CNR, and OGS, co-financed by the European project Reginna 4.0 and the PNRR Inest-Interconnected Nordest Ecosystem, in collaboration with Tipicità in Blu, the Municipality of Ancona, and Confindustria Ancona Piccola Industria.
