Global HACK\'23 Sparks Cross-Border Collaboration for Sustainable Solutions at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

On November 3, 2023, the international hackathon "Global HACK'23" took place at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ukraine as part of the Reginna 4.0 project. Over 30 students and 10 mentors from Ukraine, England, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, and Brazil collaborated on initiatives aimed at promoting a sustainable future. The projects developed by participants were centered around achieving Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 9.
All students had the opportunity to engage in the acceleration program and were eligible to receive a certificate for 2 ECTS credits as part of the Reginna 4.0 project.
The mentors for the international hackathon "Global HACK'23" included Nick Allen (business coach, sustainable development trainer, England), Lelia Sayles (entrepreneur, Fullstack developer in Java, JS, SQL, AWS, Brazil), Natalia Marchuk Hryniuk (associate professor, PNU, Ukraine), Nataliya Pitei (specialist in international relations, translator, PNU, Ukraine), Liliya Turovska (PhD, researcher, PNU, Ukraine), Antonina Tomashevska (associate professor, PNU, Ukraine), Roman Dzumedzey (head of the PNU library, Ukraine), and Taisia Simochko (expert in Horizon 2020 program projects under the priorities "Health" and "Food Security," Ukraine). The primary facilitator for the event was Finbarr Carter, the Student Enterprise Officer at the University of East Anglia (UK).
